The Judiciary through its Training Committee organized a two-day induction for Deputy Directors and Assistant Chief Courts Administrators. The induction took place in Salima at Sunbird Livingstonia Hotel from 4-5 April 2024.

The aim of the induction was to equip the Deputy Directors and the Assistant Chief Courts Administrators with skills and knowledge necessary for the performance of their duties.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the induction, the Honourable Chief Justice Rizine Mzikamanda, SC emphasized that administrators play a critical role in the effective and efficient delivery of service by the Judiciary. He pointed out that the induction should raise the performance standards of the Deputy Directors and the Assistant Chief Courts Administrators in serving clients of the Judiciary better.

Facilitators to the training were drawn from within the Judiciary and Malawi School of Government, Kanengo Campus. Topics covered during the induction included, strategic planning; resource mobilisation; leadership and management; change management and results-oriented management; ethics, decorum and etiquette; team work, conflict resolution and negotiation skills; effective communication and stress management.
