Salima Central Constituency Electoral Petition Dismissed

As the disposal of electoral disputes continues, the High Court of Malawi has dismissed the Symon Vuwa Kaunda Junior vs Gerald Synoden Phiri and the Malawi Electoral Commission election petition.

On 7th October 2025, Kaunda filed an election petition challenging the decision of the Malawi Electoral Commission declaring Phiri as the winner of the Parliamentary elections in Salima Central Constituency.
