Latest Orders of Discontinuance

Here are the latest Orders of Discontinuance upon receipt of a certificate of discontinuance filed by the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP). The DPP has constitutional powers to institute or discontinue criminal proceedings, to which the court has limited power. Accordingly, the Court has proceeded to enter a discontinuance in respect of the criminal proceedings against the Accused persons in these matters:

i. Republic vs Dalitso Kabambe, Henry Mathanga, Samuel Chilembwe Malitoni, Elvis Thodi, Cliff Kenneth Chiunda, Joseph Mwanamvekha

ii. Republic vs Jean Mathanga, John Kandulu, Fanuel Nkhono, Emilius Kandapo
